TAVGS Spring Show and Sale Cancelled

Due to concerns over the Covid-19 pandemic, our Spring Show and Sale scheduled for April 4-5, 2020 is cancelled. This has the potential to spread quickly. It is vitally important to try to reduce and delay further spread of the virus. It is a necessary decision to be proactive and protect our members and the public. About Us

The Toronto African Violet and Gesneriad Society is a not-for-profit group whose aim is to share the 'addiction' of African Violets and Gesneriads by fostering interest among its members.

We're not strangers,
only friends you have not met!

Members of TAVGS get together on a monthly basis, on the second Sunday of each month from September to June. These meetings will often include guest speakers, beginner's corner, raffle table, plant sales and other interesting items.

Something for everyone

The gesneriad family contains over 3,400 species of plants

Every colour under the rainbow

Perhaps the best-known member of the gesneriad family is the African violet (Saintpaulia)
